  • THE GOODWOOD REVIVAL 2014 - IT WAS GREAT!

    The Goodwood Revival Festival was as good as ever this year, helped by amazing weather. As usual the visitors entered the spirit of the occasion getting dressed up in their period costumes: WWII uniforms were popular too: Nostalgia was the theme of the day with an amazing collection of classic cars: As always aeroplanes featured heavily too, this year featuring two Lancaster bombers which was a real treat: And the whole occasion was made even more fun by the costumed "extras" who provided a little glamour on the day: It was also good to see that children's toys of the era...

  • GOODWOOD REVIVAL MEETING 2014

    As I explained in an early blog, the ATK All Terrain Kart was born out of nostalgic memories of having fun on my wooden soapbox in the 1960s. Those were the days when you could build a go-kart yourself with a set of Silver Cross wheels and axles, a few planks of wood and some bent nails.  Brakes were rare and you relied on the soles of your shoes to stop you, something that didn't go down well with your Mum!   • THE ATK GETS A MAKEOVER

    It's great to see something as good as the ATK get even better.  OK, the changes aren't radical but have been carefully thought through and we think that it's now the ultimate wooden go-kart.  So what have we done......? The rear of the main body panel has been re-shaped into a "fast-back", giving the kart an even sleeker look.  The seat pad on the Classic has been modified to fit the new body and is pre-fitted at the factory.  The brake has acquired a neat wooden knob and the rope is now green.  The wheels themselves are still fitted with...
