  • WHAT WAS YOUR KART CALLED?

Those of you who used to have a wooden go-kart in your youth may have had something that looked a bit like this: The interesting thing is, what did you used to call it?  Since we launched the ATK we've been fascinated to discover that, largely depending on what part of the country you come from, they are given different names.  So far we've had: Go cart Soapbox Gozzi Bogey / Bogie / Boggie / Boggy Cartie Dandy Gambo Boxkart or just plain "go-kart".  The one thing that they had in common was that they were all wooden and usually...

  • THANK YOU FOR A GREAT YEAR!

We're really pleased; we've had a brilliant year!   Having launched the ATK Classic just before Christmas in 2012 we were really looking forward to seeing what our first full year would bring.  We weren't disappointed.  Having set the scene with a fantastic review from Wired Magazine we've sold ATKs throughout the length and breadth of the UK and in Germany, Austria and Hong Kong too.     We've also been recommended by GQ Magazine and featured in The Saturday Telegraph as one of their recommended toys for Christmas 2013. More importantly, customers love the ATK too.  Our Facebook page...

  • THE ATK GETS A MAKEOVER

It's great to see something as good as the ATK get even better.  OK, the changes aren't radical but have been carefully thought through and we think that it's now the ultimate wooden go-kart.  So what have we done......? The rear of the main body panel has been re-shaped into a "fast-back", giving the kart an even sleeker look.  The seat pad on the Classic has been modified to fit the new body and is pre-fitted at the factory.  The brake has acquired a neat wooden knob and the rope is now green.  The wheels themselves are still fitted with...

  • ATK TAKES THE LEAD........

Christopher was at a Christmas Fair at Brands Hatch last night.  It was was good to see our ATK leading the way against the Audi powered single seater. However, he also spotted that the wheels on both vehicles were secured with R Clips; how cool is that!

  • CHILDHOOD MEMORIES

It's interesting what one remembers about childhood.  One of my earliest memories is being given my pedal car.  I think that I was about four years old when I was presented with an amazing metal racing car (similar to this), which rapidly became my pride and joy. The car was one of two types made after the war, the other being the more common version which was based on an Austin A40 which nowadays is often seen on fun-fair roundabouts.  The J40 (as it was known) also featured at this years Goodwood Revival meeting. The cars were built by disabled...
